Day 2-Glasgow
Day 2-Glasgow
Glasgow is a city that does not get as much mention as Edinburgh, but it has so much to offer! I love the way one of the resources at Carroll Co Public Library described it:
"OFTEN OVERLOOKED IN FAVOUR OF ITS SHOWIER MORE HISTORICAL NEIGHBOR EDINBURGH, GLASGOW IS AN EXCITING CITY WITH LOTS OF HISTORY, CULTURE AND CHARACTER." *
Today, we were met at the Glasgow International Airport by our Tour Director, Rosie Roberts!
We received a guided tour of the City & were given a wealth of knowledge of the city's people, culture & it's rich history.
All the travel guides & travel websites say that all visitors must stop by the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum. For those back home you can get an idea of what we saw by looking at the floor map & also the tour guide brochure.
Seeing an original Salvador Dali, Rembrandt and Van Gogh should always be on your to do list when traveling! Check out the pictures of those pieces of art below!
Our first two nights in Scotland are at the Novotel Glascow Centre
Here are some photo highlights of the day!
Trying to figure out this t-shirt ever since i saw it in Heathrow.... "Introverted But Willing To Discuss Milk. What can that possibly mean??
Another interesting site for more info on Glasgow! https://peoplemakeglasgow.com/
